Excellent Stay
Publié le 25 oct. 2023 sur HomeAwayThe house was perfect for the family us and our 3 married children and their kid- 6years and 3 x18 month old. There was plenty of room and access to the quiet shady beach was perfect.
It's an easy walk to Bannisters/Crazy Dog for coffee so we all had plenty of space and things to do. Shopping at Nelson Bay (15 minutes) was excellent with Coles Woollies etc. Several frides and cooking facilities.

Our short stay
Publié le 7 oct. 2023 sur HomeAwayOver priced and lacked basics like butter milk coffee pods (which you discover on arrival that you must provide your own) the steep driveway made it difficult for large vehicles.

Great location - but some downfalls
Publié le 31 juill. 2023 sur HomeAwayThe main area and deck of the property is gorgeous - lovely decor, well equipped, great view.
Overall we had a great time but some 'points to note' for others looking to book:
Parking - Mazda CX9 would not fit in garage (there would be many more cars than this). First night we had to park further up the road, then there was a park at the top of the stairs
Bathrooms - 2 bathrooms upstairs but neither are true 'ensuites' as no entry from the bathroom. Some maintenance issues with both bathrooms
Overall i would stay again - expectations would be set, and with some TLC this house would be unbeatable

Great family getaway spot
Publié le 19 févr. 2023 sur HomeAwayA family trip to celebrate a big birthday saw six adults and three children have a wonderful time. Property is very well kept and family friendly. Spectacular location and a short trip to all the local shops. Would happily stay again!

Great weekend away
Publié le 5 mai 2022 sur HomeAwayA weekend away with 11 family members aged 23-77. All loved the stay. The ability to set and enjoy morning coffee to afternoon cocktails with the sound of waves was relaxing.
The kitchen is very well stocked with all the dishes and equipment to make any meal imagined.
Would love to stay again!

Baywatch Soldiers Point

Other than that a fantastic location, house was set up well for large groups, views were stunning and close to The Point at the Marina for a wonderful meal and also the Cheeky Dog pub which is great for larger groups with kids. Would love to come back

Property Manager Failure
Publié le 10 janv. 2022 sur HomeAwayGreat location / Great House. Arrived Xmas Eve to a dirty house, unmowed lawns, no window locks downstairs in the kids room. Had to call the agent to get the house cleaned. Food left in the fridge,hairs on pillow cases. Plumbing constantly knocked through the day and night. Screws left on the ground from tradesmen who had worked there a few days prior. I understand xmas is busy, however, it wasn't the best start to our holiday.

Thank you for your review. I would like to explain that the floor was flooded prior to your arrival by the departing guest guest. We managed to arrange a tradesman to fix the swollen floor boards so it was not a trip hazard for your stay but as the guest left at 10am and you arrived at 3pm it was a difficult turn over. We did have the property clean and I'm sorry the trades left a mess. We got a cleaner to go back and he removed the decorative pillow that had the hair on it for dry cleaning. I'm glad you found it a great place in a great loction and hope that you book wih us again!

Great house & location but cheaply renovated in areas
Publié le 1 juill. 2021 sur HomeAwayOverall we loved the house for its size, location and proximity to marina, beach walks, shops and attractions for children such as GoKarting, Luge etc. The boogie boards and Kayaks were a great source of entertainment for the children.
The house is well laid out with 3 separate living areas, all with plenty of seating, very comfortable and neat, plenty of heating, 3 bathrooms and very comfy beds.
However....pillows were all terrible! The bathroom for the master bedroom is located at the end of the hallway (visible from loungeroom and kitchen) - with glass panelling in the doors so you can see in, the doors do not close properly and it has NO towel rails! Another King bedroom has absolutely no storage at all, and there's no clothes horse to dry clothes. (The clothes line is tiny and squashed down the side of the house). The cleaning was also below standard for such a property with many of the glasses dirty. The renovations have been done cheaply with the motor for the upstairs heating being outside the lower level bedrooms making it impossible to sleep noise-wise.
Having said all that, most of the negatives would be inexpensive to fix and would make a world of difference!!! The house is fantastic for family groups and great with children...

Family short stay
