Hôtel très sympathique

Très bon hôtel surtout si on a la chance d'être côté jardin. Chambre spacieuse, confortable et jolie. Par contre je vous déconseille la numéro 15 si vous êtes sensible aux bruits. Problème certainement de générateur électrique qui émet une son désagréable en permanence, avec les boules quies plus de bruit. Petit bémol aucun personnel pour vous aider comme avec le chèche cheveux cassé. Sinon très bien.

I liked that we had a back door to a pretty shaded garden to relax at.

Our room had 1) broken front blinds 2)broken front TV 3) ants in kitchen/restroom and 4) unusable tub ( floor tub peeling) . Enjoyed the location and peaceful neighborhood.

I arrived and was cordially received by an attendant in the hotel office. The room was ready before the check-in time which I appreciated because we arrived early to Solvang and it was starting to rain. When I opened the room there was a strong bleach and moldy kind of a smell. It was horrible. My husband and decided to rest but the smell of bleach was so bad, my nose and chest started to hurt. Then my husband started to sneeze uncontrollably. So I went and spoke to the attendant in the office and explained the situation. He was very nice and showed me another room but the bleach stench was atrocious in the second room too. I decided to stay in the first room and just decided to open the windows and went out to have dinner to see if the smell would subside. Came back to the room at about 6:00pm. and realized that the smell was still very prevalent in the entire room. At that point I went back to the hotel office to inform the attendant the smell was unbearable and that I was going to leave the premises. However, the office was closed and left the key in a drop box. I tried contacting the hotel by phone but they had a call service and all they did was take a message. Bottom line I left early. I was there at my check-out time, which was 3pm and left at 6pm, which was about 3 hours later. It is unfortunate that such a charming property on the outside was so uninviting in the inside. The small fridge also.Some furniture looked old and the paint was scraped.
