Check in was slow and they didn’t have the room I booked two weeks ago, but I heard the girl book the same room on the phone to someone who was calling for a reservation for that night. Then my room was downgraded to a smaller room and I got charged way more. The hallway to my room smelled terrible of marijuana. It overall was not a wonderful experience. The room itself was okay just not worth was the charges were.

I’ve definitely stayed at cleaner hotels but it overall was fine. The biggest issue was that it wasn’t clean. The day we arrived there was a storm and there was a bunch of water inside the window from a leak. Bathroom needed some deep cleaning for sure. TV for the king deluxe suit was super small. The hallways weren’t super clean and looked like they needed vacuumed both first and fourth floor the whole time we were here. (Monday to Wednesday) Looks like they need a LOT of little repairs through out the whole hotel. Duct tape on a button on the elevator. Crack in the bathroom wall where maybe it’s from water and separated? Other random things when you walk down the hall we noticed needed repaired. The breakfast they provided was really good. Staff although we didn’t talk to them much besides when we checked in they were really nice. Cleaning lady was really nice when she stopped by. The lady in the kitchen was super nice and helpful when I had my 1 year old down there and trying to take my food to the table and also push a stroller and carry plates and drinks. If it was clean and all the little random repairs fixed up it would have been a 5/5 but I’d say a 3 because no one wants to stay in a dirty hotel. We will probably be trying a different hotel next time we are in Springfield. It wasn’t the worst hotel I have been in though.
