Cute Place but No AC
Publié le 9 mars 2024 sur HotelsThis is a very cute little place. We had the room with the private bath. It is small but it was perfectly fine. Just be aware that there is no AC so do not try and stay there in the summer. They do have heaters if you are staying when it is cooler out. They have nice snacks, drinks, wine for purchase in the room. I found it very easy to get a hold of someone when needed.

Great little property for my stay, is close to shops, restaurants and public transport. I enjoyed my stay here very much!

Shared bathrooms are very small and confined

We had a lovely stay at the lodge! It was right in the heart of Kings Cross near some lovely cafe/restaurants and so close to the station.
The lodge is dated but in the best way, it feels like it has some real history and fits into the Cross. I personally love staying in places like this over commercial hotels.
Our room was clean, plenty of towels, good bedding and we had a lovely balcony! It did get quite warm in the room and there is no aircon but we opened the balcony doors and there was a nice breeze.
I was a bit nervous about the shared bathroom situation but we had no issues. It was serviced well and had all amenities needed.
The only downside I will say is there is no onsite parking but there is the Elizabeth St parking garage 5 min walk away. Drop your bags and then go and park there. You can’t complain for $15 per day parking in the city.
Was everything we needed for the weekend and would definatly stay again.

Absolutely shocking place. Nothing like the pictures shown online.

Tiny filthy bathroom
Skinny creaky staircase
Gaps in floor, all uneven, feral carpet, dust everywhere
Extremely shonky staff who lie and lie repeatedly in writing - will not talk over the phone, they will only text.
Dodgy area
