Accueil sympathique
Publié le 13 févr. 2018 sur ExpediaUn peu décevant : l’accueil est sympathique mais la promesse de charme n’est pas vraiment tenue : le bâtiment est certes ancien mais c’est plus un petit hôtel qu’une chambre d’hôtes de charme. Il est un peu défraîchi et les aménagements, la décoration ou le jardin sont à l’avenant. Un peu de bric et de broc. Le « cottage » où nous avons logé est très bas de plafond et l’on y accède par la salle de bains.

We are not classed as a hotel but a Guest House. The Gardeners Cottage which is the old Caretakers Cottage had the entry set up so that they didn't have to go thru the bedroom to get to the bathroom!

Escape to a bygone era!
Publié le 13 mars 2024 sur HotelsThis was my second stay at Leura house in the last month. On both visits I have been impressed by the service (you get a walk through the building and shown to your room) and the character of the place. Location is fantastic, rooms are very spacious.

Gorgeous period property, huge rooms and very clean. Lovely gardens and walking distance to the shops.
Although not on the highway very close so a bit noisy. The only access upstairs is stairs which are quite steep.

Amazing friendly service for a comfortable and pleasant stay! Check in went smoothly with a brief tour of the place, the garden and lounge area were lovely to relax in. The room was also clean and comfortable. Would love to stay again!

An unexpected gem
Publié le 9 mars 2024 sur HotelsNice historic house - 1st house built in Leura with an interesting past.. dont be put off by the dated bathroom - they are trying to preserve the history rather than modernise. Very quiet place only a few kins walk from the station. Staff very friendly. When we stayed the lounge and bar was closed and we were allowed to take a bottle of wine and sit/relax... Excellent choice for a short weekend getaway..
