cute concept but way too restrictive. Creek Is 20-30 ft below cabins. with huge rocks and trees. In my judgement making it way too dangerous for children to be around, adults for that matter too. Drives are covered in huge gravel making them unsuitable for walking and no trails leaves you feeling unfulfilled. Visitors felt uncomfortable driving by the huge old abandoned buildings.. Cabins were very nice but with unfinished mouldings, no curtains, in the woods Cmon, an older uncomfortable, couch these types of things just make owners look cheap, jmo. The open ceiling plan is really cool for a nome but for a hotel type situation didn't work well for us. Lights carrying over to bedrooms. You could hear everything. The lack of privacy was disturbing. one last thing no thought it seems was given to the elderly or handicapped.. I could barely get up the Tall step into the door. No rails in bathroom. The chairs, camping chairs in bags, for the front porch were totally useless. Then to be left a cleaning list for checkout oh yes lets not forget the 1 trash bag and 12 paper towels they left us. I will never use a VRBO again. 3 days worse contact ever. Thanks a lot Expedia for sending me this referral.

Hi Wendy, this homeowner works hard to provide an enjoyable stay for guests and they would like to clarify the following details:- This is a cabin in the woods along a historic creek that also is only several blocks from City Hall and downtown. The old burned buildings are a historic site of an early 1800s cotton mill on the river that is being rebuilt as a public-use area.- The historic site is protected and a half mile from this cabin across a main thoroughfare. There is a walking trail that goes along the creek that is marked "No vehicles beyond this point". You may have misinterpreted the sign and not entered the area.- There is one step into the cabin that is 8 inches high. There is also an ADA cabin with zero entry next door, had you requested it. The folding chairs are for use by the firepit that is shared between all three cabins.- There are no curtains in the cabin, but there are wood blinds on each window, as shown in the pictures. There were also paper towels and trash bags stored in the closet had someone reached out to the host, we could have pointed that out. Also, the couch was purchased brand new in August 2022.- These check-out rules are in place to maintain the quality of the property and to ensure that all guests have a pleasant experience. - The clean-up list says to strip the beds and take your trash to the big cans by the road, considering the deer, raccoons, and other wildlife get in the trash every night if it is left outside.- While we do regret our cabin was not up to your expectations, we’re happy to share that no issues were reported by our most recent guests. - We truly go above and beyond for our guests and are confident that future guests will have a wonderful stay!
