Hotel Yae no Midori Tokyo offers a generally pleasant stay, though the distance to the station is quite far, particularly when traveling with luggage. For that reason, I likely wouldn’t choose this hotel again when visiting Tokyo. Cons: Breakfast was just okay, and the elevator moved very slowly. It takes about 15 minutes to walk to the station and Ginza Mall. While there are plenty of convenience stores around, there aren’t any true grocery markets. Pros: The rooms are spacious and comfortable, similar to U.S. style hotels. The beds are cozy, the shower pressure is excellent, and the hotel provides nice touches like amenities, robes, and slippers. The humidifier in the room helps with the dry winter air. There are also lots of dining options nearby.

Relaxing charming vibe of a hotel. Excellent location. Room is clean, compact yet functional, well thought out. However the only downside is that to get to guest rooms, you have to take a set of lifts up to 14th floor (main reception), then a different set down to guest rooms which adds a little inconvenience at the end of long day. Do hope this arrangement might be temporary though. Otherwise really enjoyed our stay.

Overall an average stay. When we first arrived to our room (12th floor) there was a strong body odour smell. We went to reception and they came down and offered us a new room. This was better until a few hours later the smell was very prominent in our new room. We asked staff again and they offered us several rooms along the floor but they were all the same with a strong odour. We figured that the issue must be the a/c however even when it was turned off because there was still some airflow we couldn’t avoid the smell. We eventually just learnt to live with it for our stay but every time we returned to the room it was strong. The room was good, reasonable size and we had a nice view of the skyline. Staff were friendly and as helpful as they could be. The area is quite business heavy, it was a 15 min walk from Tokyo station and easy to get back to Narita airport at the end of our stay. Only other slight annoyance is the lifts. When you return to the hotel you need to use one set to go to reception then another to go to your room. Was quite slow at time.

Really great stay, the staff were very nice all the time. The rooms and beautiful and minimal. Love the big tub and door that separates the washroom area from the sleeping area. Only thing is that the breakfast is not really a buffet. Only cereal, rice, miso soup, and drinks are self serve. The food can get repetitive as theres only 2-3 set menu options and the service is slow, sometimes taking half an hour to get my food. Definitely not great if you're in a rush but it is very tasty.
