SPECTACULAR OCEAN FRONT VIEW, WI FI, POOL, AC, PRIVATE SWIMMING AREA, SECURITY

Our “One Love Shack” is a colorful artist decorated oceanfront condo/apartment perfect for small families, couples or individuals. From the moment you step into our magical place, you will feel the welcoming uniquely Jamaican vibe. My daughter and I discovered the One Love Shack and were guests for years until we became owners in 2021. You can hear the waves and know you have found your magical place too.

There is 24 hour security year round.

Enjoy your morning coffee at the oceanfront gazebo and watch the spectacular sunrises as the local fishermen head out for their morning catch.

The swimming area is protected from rough waters with a sea wall that is perfect for snorkeling and just taking a calm ocean dip. Or you can look for small sea creatures, polished sea glass or shells on the small beach.

There are two pool lounge chairs dedicated and marked for our guests.

Nap time? Relax in one of three colorful hammocks swinging between palm trees right outside....for One Love Shack guests only.

Ocho Rios is only four miles and a short inexpensive taxi ride away where you can be picked up right outside Chrisann’s secured gate. Ocho Rios has many excursion options; swim with the dolphins at Dolphin Cove, climb Dunn's River Falls, horseback ride at Chukka Carribean Adventure, dine at Jimmy Buffet's Margaritaville or enjoy the view of the beautiful blue waters of Ocho Rios from the mountain top adventure park Mystic Mountain. There are also several craft markets and duty free shops in town.

Enjoy bamboo rafting on the White River, swimming at the popular Blue Hole or hire a driver to take you to Nine Mile which is the birth and resting place of Bob Marley.

There are four restaurants within walking distance from the One Love Shack: PG's directly across the street for chef prepared Italian food and pizza, Jerk Centre for very authentic Jamaican cuisine in an open air bar setting, Bless and Gifted Vegan and smoothie restaurant and the upscale Summer House at Harmony Hall. As well, our house manager Jodi can arrange a local Jamaican to prepare a home cooked Jamaican meal as you relax and enjoy the tranquility of your special place.

There is a small supermarket, Jun's, across the street where you can get provisions last minute or for your entire stay. They pack a lot in the small and convenient market including cold Red Stripe and other alcoholic beverages.

When you book, you will receive a welcome letter with recommendations for trusted airport transfers and other travel recommendations. We are approximately 1.5 hours from Montego Bay-Sangster International Airport.

A little piece of paradise. Fantastic location just a few steps into the ocean. The property is very well equipped. Comfortable bed and the huge window seats that double up as a beds are equally very comfortable. Everyone was very helpful. Jennifer and Tess are wonderful hosts. Jennifer is so informative and can be easily contacted if you have any questions. Kevin (Alco) cooked lobster and fish which I highly recommend. Don't hesitate to book this beautiful condo.

A home away from home. We enjoyed our stay in this quaint apartment with loads of character. Access to ocean with great snorkelling and swimming. We had Kevin cook for our on our first night and it was the best dinner of our trip! Near Dunn’s falls, local blue hole and beaches. Jen was wonderful with communications and suggestions. If you’re looking for a true jamaican living experience, this is it!

Amazing property and host!!

The property was everything and way more. Jen, the host was truly amazing. Full of great advice and tips that made our stay even better. Bedroom was about 50’ from the crashing waves. There was a constant breeze that kept the home and porch very comfortable all week. We never even turned on the AC. The home was very clean and stocked with all the necessities. Would highly recommend to anyone!!

Vacation in jamaica

We love the location and the view! The beach was perfect to swim or sit and enjoy our morning coffee. We can hear the ocean from the bay windows. It was perfect for us. We could walk to get food from local restaurants and groceries. Minor recommendation is for Jennifer to upgrade all the faucets ( they are a little wobbly). The 24 hrs security made us feel very safe and they were super friendly. We would definitely stay here again.

Wind in the Palms

This property is well maintained and in a beautiful location right on the beach. We spent quite a bit of time just watching the waves roll in and the wind in the palms. We enjoyed playing in the ocean which is about 20 steps outside the patio door. Jennifer was a great owner who made sure we had a good time by suggesting location restaurants and things to do. Jodi served as our housekeeper and primary chauffeur. I can't say enough good things about her. I'd definitely recommend this property to anyone looking for a quiet topical retreat.

All the water and sun you need

We were happy with the apartment and facilities and would return. The unit is spacious, clean and well-equipped. It faces the water on the seafront ground level of a modest, well-maintained, 2-3 floor condo building that horseshoes around a large, clean and mostly empty pool. The unit has a small porch with several chairs a few steps away from a lovely grass yard shaded by coconut palms that is shared by the condo occupants. Below the retaining wall and about 8 steps down is a tiny beach that can accommodate a couple of lounge chairs. A seawall protects a modest swimming area that is overlooked by a gazebo equipped with a table and benches. The apartment is a little dark because of the darker bold colors of the walls and ceiling and limited lighting. There are two huge bay windows with cushioned elevated recesses that served as reading nooks and nap areas. The window curtains of these bays were difficult to open and close so we just left the bedroom's closed and the living area curtains open. The sole A/C unit is in the bedroom and managed this room well. I am not sure it could have cooled the larger living area to frigidity but we never felt the need. Be careful if you are driving and use Google maps as it misdirected us. The owners were responsive and helpful.

Adventure and Relaxing

Condo - It is decorated perfectly for a Caribbean vacation. Jodi the housekeeper had it very clean for us. It is an end unit that has fantastic windows overlooking the beach. The sliding glass door goes right out to the pool. We did meet a family that owns an upstairs condo that was super nice from Canada. Only complaint is the shower head needs replaced. Water was only coming out 6 of the 20 something holes. Dean the private driver was unavailable for us during our stay therefore I cannot comment about him. Jodi did hook us up with a private taxi to take us to fisherman's beach for a day. There are 2 restaurants across the street (Italian and Jerk Center). We preferred the food at the Italian restaurant but the atmosphere at the Jerk Center since it was outside. There is also a very tiny convenience across the street if you need drinks and snacks. There is not much else that you can walk to if that is something that is important to you. We already knew this prior to booking. Beach - It is a small inlet that was nice to cool off in. If you are looking for a beach to walk this is not the place for you. One bonus is that the property is guarded 24/7 so there are no outside people trying to get you to buy everything and anything. We felt very safe. Pool - Very clean and warm. The staff at Chrisann's is extremely friendly too. I would definitely recommend this condo if you are looking for an affordable place to relax away from the hustle in Ocho Rios as it is only a short drive to town. You must go in to the market and get fresh pineapple and mango! Jennifer the owner is very helpful. She had already prepared us prior to arrival so we did not have to contact her at all.

AMAZING!

This Condo was exactly what we were looking for. Bright colors, serene ocean views from inside, lush gardens outside and only steps to the gorgeous water. Everything we needed was available and Daniela was easily accessible. There is a wonderful Italian restaurant across the street, as well as an outside bar and little store. Mr. Dean, our driver, was prompt and accommodating. Jodi, the housekeeper was easily available for any questions we had. Overall, this was a most excellent vacation and Daniela's Condo was EXACTLY what I was looking for when I booked it nearly a year and half before the vacation. You will NOT be disappointed in this property.

Truly a hidden gem

The view from unit 24 at Chrisann’s is breathtaking. The bright colors and decorations coupled with the beautiful ocean view greet you as soon as you walk in, and you can’t help but smile. Daniela was a wonderful host and sent us a very thoughtful letter prior to our trip detailing transportation from Montego Bay, the check in process, and a laundry list of various activities, restaurants, and local sites to see. The grounds are immaculate, Trevor has created and expertly maintained a beautiful and diverse landscape to compliment the ocean views. All of the workers are very friendly, helpful, and make you feel welcomed. Pictures do not do it justice, you have to come and see for yourself! Will definitely be returning soon!

"Your dream get away"

I'll keep it short and sweet you will not regret booking this amazing unit. I'm already gearing up and planning for my 2020 visit. My only regret was not booking for longer and I didn't give 5 stars because there are minimal places to walk to. Other than that this rental is ideal for children and family alike. Don't book if your not going to take advantage of the sea cove, or if the sound of sea waves will annoy you.

Just left yesterday, and had a magnificent time! We were planning on doing more "touristy" things in the area, but found this place so wonderful, we barely left our unit window beds and the little cove out our door. The hammocks were an amazing touch (and the envy of all of the other guests staying nearby). Spent every morning watching the sunrise with my morning coffee from the gazebo on the property. We visited bamboo beach club one day - walking distance (just paid basic admission, went later in the day so we didn't get to see entertainment, only a handful of people there though- bonus). Glenn's restaurant across the street is now recently closed down (that was really the only bummer for our trip, as we were looking forward to having that available for our meals). There is a jerk center across the street along with a little market though (for essentials). Mr Dean (driver) was great, and I recommend him or whomever else Daniela might set you up with (he picked us up from the airport, stopped for lunch and the grocery store on the way to the property). Miss Jodi (housekeeper) was very attentive and friendly and checked in with us daily. Miss Daniela responded promptly via email with any questions we had both before and during our stay. Highly recommend this place!

Beautiful peaceful place

Just totally terrific. From the first time I contacted Daniela. We took advice on mr Dean being our driver , he was there waiting with a big smile and a massive hug . He knew we were tired and excited and did his utmost to ease us in gently . The apartment is vibrant and full of lovely things . It really feels more like a cottage than an apartment. It’s the best located of all the units without a doubt . Jodie the maid is a joy and kept us tidy and more fresh towels constantly.The snorkelling is great when it’s calm outside the cove , but even if it’s a bit rough the cove inside is always clear and lots to see . Out on the road there is a jerk shack and a little supermarket. We stopped on way from airport with mr Dean at a larger supermarket first and used the little one for topping up on drinks etc . The locals are lovely . Taxis outside the gate were always fun , they cram you in and off you go . All very safe . We are two sisters, we took care but had an amazing time seeing real Jamaica. Fun Times....

Great Unit, Loved the Hammocks, Loved the Window Beds, Met some Great folks! Had some BREEZY weather with White caps in the Caribbean for more than a week BUT, that is Mother Nature. Mr. Dean and Trevor made our trip Memorable for SURE!!!!
