Le stationnement gratuit est annoncé sur la réservation et c’est effectivement 15$/soir. Le stationnement est gratuit le soir (pas le jour) dans la rue. La chambre est confortable mais pas aussi propre qu’on s’attendrait. L’hotel Est bien situé.

I'm sorry you felt our parking price wasn't indicated at the time of booking, I'm fairly sure it actually is as it has always been a chargeable service at the hotel as we don't own our own car park. The GC, I love it!

I love the Grand Chancellor (old Travelodge). It's a uniquely designed hotel.. It's probably my favourite hotel in Townsville (Even though no rooms have baths that I am aware of).. Why I keep returning has been the professionalism and high level of customer service experienced over the last couple of years.. the best of which was a Manager/Receptionist that has sadly left but she left a lasting legacy and attention to detail that none have matched anywhere in Tsv.. many GC staff have embraced her standard but still need refinement.. from point of check in and out, the restaurant and any laundry/dry cleaning.. also any maintenance that needs attention.. they're prompt in action and service. My recent score would have been perfect except for the newly renovated pool closed again.. It would have been the first time I had visited it but only got to look at an empty pool from glass panels.. the recent cyclonic winds the blame as well as tv reception loss... However maintenance put on internet on the tv so I could watch and listen to YouTube;-). Water has also come into my room and I mentioned it and was offered another room but I said it was okay. The air-conditioning was lovely and cool compared to my previous stay.. I made mention of it at time of booking and it was checked and cool. Look forward to staying at the GC again which I have already booked.

My partner, daughter and I stayed in your hotel last night in room 1905 and we were not satisfied with the condition of the room or your hotel. After not having power for 3 nights we though we would have a stay at a hotel and choose the HGC as it was classed as a 4 star hotel and was at the centre of everything, where we could come and relax and cool down for the day. We couldn't have been much further from the truth, the room was dirty, windows not cleaned, slippers mouldy, dampness in the bathroom and no pool to cool down as it was under repair, that part I completely understand as these things happen but there was no mention of this on your website or even when we checked in, giving us the chance to go else where that did have an operational pool and the chance to cool down in another pool. So we though we would go and cool down in the room, well that was another mistake, as the AC in the room was not cooling, we though maybe the heat coming through the windows, so we closed the curtains and went for dinner, only to come back to still a warm room. We called the front desk who came and looked at the AC and instead gave us a fan to cool us down. Unfortunately to pay the price we did to sleep in a warm room when we could have done that at home was not the experience nor the lack of sleep that I expected.
