River views

Getaway to the Carolina hills
Publié le 15 oct. 2023 sur HomeAwayGreat property. Loved the view of the river. Unit had everything we needed except a box of Kleenex. We enjoyed our lunch and wine tasting at Chez Josephine. It is a bit remote so not the location for you if you’re looking for nightlife or don’t want to drive a bit to a restaurant for dinner.

Peaceful setting by the River.

The owners are the loveliest couple and I wanted to come back and stay but with Covid and my 102 year old mom being moved back to Florida I just now found the chance to stay in their cabins. Opening the back door and sitting on the patio to listen and view the river brings peace to ones soul.

Absolutely Wonderful
Publié le 8 sept. 2023 sur HomeAwayWe went to celebrate our 38th anniversary. Checkin was simple and our unit was just as advertised. We had everything we needed.
Roaring River property was absolutely beautiful. The river was fun to walk in and peaceful to listen to. We enjoyed eating at the restaurant overlooking the river.
Josephine and Tom were perfect hosts.
Couldn’t have had a better weekend.

Very Rustic
Publié le 9 août 2023 sur HomeAwayI have never given a less than favorable review for anything but we were very disappointed when we arrived. Although the river is beautiful, there is not much else appealing about this place. If the restaurant is not open I suggest you bring everything you will need with you as there is almost nothing in the area to provide food and supplies. The website suggested bring a swim suit for the hot tub and the river side beach. The hot tub was “for owner use only” and there is no beach. Be aware that there is no cell service either. We left sadly disappointed.
