Our private road consists of homes with Boardman River frontage, private and serene, with easy access from the 55-mph beltway (Hammond Road) to anywhere in Traverse City, Interlochen, and Williamsburg. Great for access to Interlochen Arts Academy.

Downtown Traverse City is only a short 15-minute drive away. Traverse City is well known for its lakefront, with countless shops and restaurants. The greater Traverse City Area is nationally recognized for Old Mission Peninsula's and the Leelanau Peninsula's many wineries, as well as the Sleeping Bear Dunes National Park.

An exceptional location for easy access to all the fun activities this great area has to offer while still being ‘away from it all.’ Festivals abound in this area, including Traverse City Film Festival, beer, music, and wine festivals, and The Cherry Festival. Retreat to our stunning 3,335 sq ft riverfront lodge for an unforgettable Northern Michigan getaway. Entering the private home through tree trunk pillars on the porch, the main floor offers your family or business retreat a spacious great room with more indoor tree trunk pillars, a gas fireplace, soaring ceilings, and massive windows with amazing views of the Boardman River.

The great room is so large that it also includes a game table, and there are some game options stocked for your family fun. The southern exposure means lots of light throughout the day.

The well-equipped kitchen includes a drip coffee maker, Keurig, and a French press. Enjoy meals at the dining table or breakfast bar. The great room also includes a game table with games provided. There is also a stocked laundry room.

As nice as this house is inside, you'll want to spend all your time outside. The Boardman River flows right by your spacious, waterfront deck featuring an acacia wood dining table, a grill, two gliders, sun loungers, and hot tub to sit and soak it in. Unwind in the shady private hot tub or gather around the wood-burning fire pit by the river.

This house is perfect for a large family gathering, a weekend getaway, or company retreat with a special customer. You can even fish, tube, or kayak (byo)!

Sleeping Arrangements:
- Bedroom 1 (Main Floor Master): Plush King bed, ensuite bathroom with a low-clearance walk-in shower, and a comfortable desk workspace, and massive windows to enjoy the river flowing just outside.

- Bedroom 2 (Main Floor): Two triple-twin bunk beds (six twin beds total), perfect for kids or groups. The full bathroom is separate and includes a shower with a tub.

- Bedroom 3 (Upstairs Suite): Private suite with two Queen beds up the log staircase, a large walk-in closet (with Pack 'n Play), and a spacious ensuite bathroom with a low-entry walk-in shower. (The Pack ‘n’ Play is the travel bed amenity.)

There is a lot of parking. The short River Drive is a 15mph private road with hidden driveways, mostly single lane. PLEASE tell your family to drive slowly as a courtesy to everyone.

- Private Road: The home is accessed via a short, 15mph private road with some hidden driveways. For the courtesy and safety of all, please drive slowly.

- Wildlife: Our beautiful home is located in a rural forest area with lots of wildlife, including deer, squirrels, chipmunks, rabbits, turtles, mice, insects, raccoons, bears, and bobcats (among others). Though we work to keep out pests including insects and mice, the reality of nature is that some of the tiny ones may get into the house from time to time. We do not offer refunds because someone saw a spider, a fly, a bee, a mouse, etc. Please keep the doors closed to help keep them from entering. If our driveway cameras show the garage doors are open for extended periods, we may request that you close them.

- The Boardman River: The river is fairly cold, but many people enjoy fishing, paddleboarding, kayaking, canoeing, and tubing. Please bring your own kayaks or paddleboards. We provide river tubes of various sizes for your enjoyment.

(Small tube 32" and “is suitable for 50- 90 lbs”. Medium tube inflates to 36" “suitable for 120 lbs or less”. Large tube inflates to 40" “suitable for 120-200lb.” And 44” tubes handle “250lbs”.)

- Trails: Boardman Monarch is very close to The Brown Bridge Quiet Area, which offers miles of hiking trails. We are in close proximity to the Boardman Valley Trail System's 81 miles of snowmobile trails! We are close to the Vasa Single Track, a great Mountain Bike trail system. In addition, the Vasa is home to 25 km of groomed cross-country trails.

- Downhill Skiing: Mount Holiday is only 11 minutes away and also offers snow tubing and zip lining. Crystal Mountain Ski Resort is only 27 miles away.

- Need More Space? This home has a sister property next door (The Firefly Lodge). Combined, the two homes can accommodate groups of up to 26. Please inquire for availability, as it books far in advance.

- Special 2-Person Rate: We offer a $100 reduction on the cleaning fee for stays of only two guests (already reflected on this listing). If the discount is claimed, a $150 penalty will be charged for any extra, undeclared people.

Short stays, weekly and monthly, are available.
