We stayed here for 2 night's. I called to ask if we could check in early, the stuff said yes and that we could check in at 1:00 pm. We got there at 1 and they said we had to wait the full time, till 3:00 pm. The first night we woke up with the refrigerator leaking water, and processed to get our bags soaked. We also woke up to at least 2 bugs in our bedroom. Not the safest area but was what i paid for. If you want a cheap option this is what you'll get.

Check in staff should provide accurate information. I was told checking in 1 hour early would not be an issue. Upon arrival, I was told it was not possible and would have to wait, until 3pm or possibly later. Very inconvenient.

Individual rooms are okay. Overall location is very dated. Note this is more of a motel with room access from the outside, and there are 3 floors but no elevator. Staff was very helpful and friendly.

Not worth the price

First of all , there is no elevators and its like a mountain climbing in banff. Not suitable for kids/ families . Rooms are very old . Building has rooms in a downhill so entering and exiting seems quite difficult. Beds were clean and stain free but bathrooms were not . There is no sound proof installation and the guests above our room were too irritating to us by closing doors or cupboards or by making noises till 2 am morning. Its really not worth for the price and we stayed in better hotels for this price in victoria in previous days. Pools were too outdated and water has some oily nature or not clean .

This hotel does not have an elevator. So if you have disabilities or pain I advice not to stay. Stairs, stairs, stairs. The only level accessible is the 2nd floor. The one fella was kind to allow me to park in the no parking spot so I only had 1 flight to go up. It’s so quiet, no place to go eat, or entertainment. They had a pub there but it didn’t look welcoming.

The room was spacious, however, could of added a small table with chairs in the unused space. Cleanliness - cobwebs in the window ceiling corner. Baby spiders in a plug in area. Spider in the curtains. Shower tile grouting had pink and some black mold around the water splash area. Needed a good scrub. Maintenance - the bathroom door needed fixing while there as stopped closing properly. The lock chain at the front door was in an awkward spot and kept getting stuck in the door while trying to close it. Toliet seat moved around. Wouldnt tighten properly. On one bed both the attached reading spot lights didnt work and the bed made a very weird creaking, pinging sound when getting off and on. The facilities for the pool and the gym where nice. The pool and pool area was run down looking, not like in the pictures. Also a pool ladder was wobbly. Limited breakfast menu between 8am-10pm. Good service though Limited food options - only can order from attached pub Pub had live music Saturday and Sunday evening. Could hear the whole time as room was pretty much below.

This hotel has a pub called the loft. Its authentic not a chain. Food waa excellent. Sarah the bartender was amazing. The beds we really comfortable. There is a room for ice, vending machines, microwave and laundry! Staff was really friendly and accomodating! Would stay there again!
