Truly Amazing Property and area
Publié le 23 avr. 2024 sur HomeAwayThis was our first time in Alabama and we searched for a place on water. This place is beautiful - better than the photos show. Little things like local magazines and tasteful decor add to the experience. Owners were great to deal with. Lake Wedowee is a place we'll return to.

Spring break 2024

Be prepared to do a lot of stairs stairs can be slippery at times and our need and repairing some locations. Property owner told us they are working on that. Access to the canoes was much appreciated. Hot tub was a lovely addition. Beds could use some upgrading as they were very noisy (springs) but still relatively comfy. The property owner controls the thermostats in the house. There are three, one on each level. That was a little frustrating that you had to contact them when you needed something changed, however, they were very responsive.

Peaceful week on the lake

The road to the house is very rough but you just have to take it slow. Not the owner's fault but something to be aware of. They starting refilling lake while we were there, but still easy access from the dock. House was clean and well furnished and plenty of space.

Fabulous spring break vacation!

The day before our trip, we were provided with up to date directions, a code to enter the home & we were wished a safe trip by the owners, Norman & Janey. They were friendly & helpful & did everything they could to provide us needed information to help make our stay a good one. They seemed like a very kind & considerate couple. We arrived to a very charming lake house. Extremely tidy, clean & organized, and stocked with everything we might need for a 5 night stay. Their home is absolutely beautiful with gorgeous views from every floor. We had 3 families & each family had their own seperate room with a restroom attached. A floating dock housed our boat protectively & there were canoes for everyone to enjoy. There was a pool table & a hot tub which provided our grandchildren extra fun. This place is absolutely magical! Norman & Janey are friendly & engaging & I could tell they were genuinely concerned about helping make our stay a great one! And it indeed was just that & more!! Don't hesitate to make this home a part of your future get away plans! You wont regret it! Our family had a fabulous time!! Thank you for sharing your beautiful home with us!!

Awesome getaway at the lake
Publié le 17 déc. 2023 sur HomeAwayWe stayed during the winter so can’t rate any lake activities, but the house was great. Clean me well-equipped with pots, pans, cookware, silverware, appliances, etc.
Would definitely recommend and go stay again.
Hosts were great communicators…easy directions as well as a guidebook full of helpful info.
Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Perfect get away spot

Great getaway and a relaxing vacation!

The pool table provided great inside entertainment, while the sun room gave an amazing room to relax, taking in the views or reading, while still staying cool. We were a short drive away from activities in town and were able to visit some great local restaurants and the winery with ease.

Peaceful Getaway
Publié le 21 août 2023 sur HomeAwayHad a relaxing time with our three boys. Enjoyed the canoes, the pool table, the hot tub, and the gable sunroom with the amazing view. Ferocious electrical storm over the lake one evening was a sight to see. Hosts were very accessible and helpful.
