Overall a little less dreamy than expected. Mainly, listing should be transparent in that this is 1/2 of a tiny home. Through looking at pictures and finally inquiring of listing agent, we were aware before renting, but listing is most certainly not clear. We rented unit with loft to avoid bleed over noise if another party rented other 1/2. The other 1/2 was indeed rented and we heard every word they said, very clearly until we turned on the tv to block the noise. They were not being loud; the walls are just thin. Unit was clean and tidy and had a new feel to it, but if there would be a next time for us, weâd choose to stay in a lodge inside the park or a hotel outside the park. This unit offered nothing they would not have, in fact, the main room is smaller than a hotel room. There was a coffee maker with cups and a small fridge (no freezer section) and microwave. Thatâs it. No utensils or plates or room to prep anything other than hand held microwaveable food, so no bonus there. We had difficulty with our check in. Instructions said to enter 4 digit code; we were given 2 six digit codes. Keypad just beeped at first touch. Guess the battery was low. I texted number given to me, nothing. I messaged through Vrbo, nothing. Finally my husband called the number and we were given alternate instructions. Weâll mark our stay at a tiny home as a been-there-done-that, but weâll choose a lodge next time.
The property itself is great. Very clean, quiet, and beautiful. It's about 30-minute drive to the Grand Canyon. However, I don't like driving on the gravel road leading to the property. I hope it will get paved soon.
