Worked for our needs!

Just what we needed
Publié le 17 mai 2024 sur HomeAwayCute little house, comfortable with character. It rained so we did not use the back porch fire pit area. Had a problem with the furnace, but the owner replied back and we were brought electric heaters (the furnace needed more repairs than could be done in a short period of time.) The only drawback was the view across the road. The neighborhood does not have curbside garbage pick up, so there was a dumpster across the street. Overall, it was a nice little house and I would stay there again.

Mother’s Day getaway
Publié le 16 mai 2024 sur HomeAwayMy husband, mom, and 2 year old daughter enjoyed our stay. Everything was clean and comfortable with plenty of space for my daughter to play inside and out. We had fun tossing the horseshoes outside and loved the close proximity to Walmart and multiple wineries. We will definitely come stay again if we make our way back to the area. Thank you!!

Surprising that “everything was fine” merits 3 stars. Oh well, some people think giving a 5% restaurant tip is generous.

Better than a hotel!
Publié le 12 avr. 2024 sur HomeAwayWe loved our two week stay! The bed was comfy and the entire house had a cozy feel to it. The kitchen was well stocked. Our grandsons spent one night with us and they loved the bunk beds. We loved the location because it was only a couple of miles from our son’s house.

Bugs/Not clean
Publié le 22 nov. 2023 sur HomeAwayI don’t believe the house was cleaned recently. The house was literally covered in bugs, you couldn’t get in the front door without bugs all over the door. They would find their way inside as well, crawling all on the walls and floor. Every room had cobwebs and spiders in them. The blanket on the main bedroom bed had dried up blood on it and there were stains all on the floor and chair in the living room. There was some sort of dried up vomit on the bedroom floor at the doorway. The bathroom smelled of mildew and shower not cleaned. The house provided a place to sleep and the bare minimum of what we needed but it definitely needs cleaned and exterminated. The backyard was great.

I don't think there is anything to be done about bugs gathering around the front door porch light and coming in when guests are coming and going. Cobwebs and spiders inside, and the other cleanliness issues inside, are another matter. We inspected the cottage last Sunday evening and found the cleanliness problems to be unacceptable. We plan to make changes in our staff, as we have counseled them about the problem in the past.
