Along the route between Bran Castle and Peleș Castle, you can enjoy some of the most picturesque landscapes in the Carpathian Mountains. The road winds through forested slopes and traditional villages, offering beautiful views of the surrounding mountains. The journey introduces you to the distinctive architecture and atmosphere of this historic region.
Bran Castle, known as “Dracula’s Castle,” is one of Romania’s most famous landmarks. Built in 1377 on a rocky ridge at the border between Transylvania and Wallachia, the castle impresses with its medieval architecture and mysterious atmosphere. Initially a strategic fortress, it now serves as a museum that reveals the region’s history and legends.
Peleș Castle, built between 1873 and 1914 as the summer residence of King Carol I, is a symbol of elegance and European refinement. Located in Sinaia, the castle captivates with its Neo-Renaissance architecture, lavish interiors, and valuable art collections. Today, it operates as a museum, offering a fascinating insight into Romania’s royal history.
Please note: Between November 2 and December 1, 2026, Peleș Castle will be closed for annual general cleaning and preventive conservation.
Sinaia Monastery, founded in 1695 by Mihail Cantacuzino, is an important monastic complex in the town of Sinaia. The ensemble blends Brâncovenesc and Byzantine architectural styles, featuring the old church, inner courtyard, monastic buildings, and a museum with rare artefacts. The monastery offers serenity, spirituality, remarkable mural paintings, and a deep connection to the history of the Prahova Valley.
Cantacuzino Castle in Bușteni, built in 1911 by Prince Gheorghe Grigore Cantacuzino, is a remarkable Neo-Romanian-style residence. Situated at the foot of the Bucegi Mountains, the castle offers stunning views, elegant halls, art collections, stained glass, and original frescoes. Its interior impresses with carved details and a historical atmosphere, complemented by the large courtyard and decorative fountains. Today, the castle is a major tourist attraction, hosting exhibitions and cultural events.
Important note: In case of heavy traffic on the Prahova Valley, especially during weekends or holiday periods, the tour will begin with Peleș Castle, and Bran Castle will be visited last to avoid losing 4–5 hours in traffic. This operational decision ensures a smoother experience and preserves the quality and timing of the tour. Guests will be informed about this adjustment one day before the tour or, if necessary, on the morning of the tour.
