What you can expect

  • My name is Maxime, an independent live guide specialising in tours of Alsace vineyards. I invite you to enjoy an authentic experience just 20 minutes from Colmar: a walk in the vineyards, a cellar visit, and a commented tasting of 6 Alsace wines.

Whether you're a wine lover or simply curious, this tour is designed to be accessible to everyone. No prior knowledge is required: I adapt to your questions and your curiosity to help you understand wine simply, without jargon.

As you explore, you will understand the connection between the Alsatian landscapes, the terroirs, the climate, the grape varieties, and the winemaker's choices. The goal is simple: to give you a better understanding of what you see in the vineyards and what you discover in your glass.

    A discovery in three stages
Walk through the vineyards — around 1 hour

We set off on foot from the estate to discover the vineyards of Alsace and its landscapes.

I will explain how history, geology, climate, and the work of the winegrowers have shaped this unique territory. We also discuss viticultural practices, particularly biodynamics, as well as the tasks carried out throughout the year to care for the vines.

This walk is a time for discussion: you can ask any questions you have and take the time to understand the landscape around you.

Cellar tour — about 1 hour

We continue the tour of the estate to discover how grapes become wine.

I will introduce you to the main stages of winemaking: pressing, fermentation, ageing, and the winemaker's choices. You will learn how these decisions influence the styles of wines produced, from white wines to red wines to Crémants d'Alsace.

Guided tasting of 6 Alsace wines — around 1 hour

We end with a friendly tasting of 6 wines selected to discover the diversity of the Alsatian vineyard.

I will guide you in discovering the aromas, sensations, and characteristics of each wine. Everyone can share their impressions: there is no wrong answer, only the pleasure of sharing.
