Start with a 1-hour samba class in a dance studio with a bilingual instructor (English, Spanish, and Portuguese). The class is designed for complete beginners: no partner needed, no experience required — just comfortable clothes and good energy.
Then put your new moves to the test. Your instructor takes you to the night's destination:
Monday — Ipanema (5:00 PM): after class, join a famous samba street party where locals and travellers dance and sing to live samba under the open sky.
Wednesday to Saturday — Copacabana (7:00 PM): after class, transfer to a samba club with a live samba band. Skip the line with fast-track entry and spend the night dancing with locals. Food and drinks are available to buy at the club.
Your instructor stays with you at the club, so you'll always feel safe, welcome, and part of the party.
