The Acropolis of Rhodes (Pass by)

The Acropolis of Rhodes which is on the Monte Smith Hill is only 3 km away from the centre of modern city. Unlike most ancient acropolis this one was not fortified. The construction on the hill started in 3rd century BC. Back then there were impressive temples, sanctuaries, public buildings and underground cult places. Archaeological excavations revealed us some traces of the lost beauty and now we can dive into the fascinating past of Rhodes history.

Mandraki Harbour

Mandraki is one of the three harbours in Rhodes. It is famous, because it is believed that the great statue of Colossus, one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, once stood at the harbour entrance. Today the deer sculptures at the entrance, the St. Nicholas Fortress and a number of medieval windmills create a charming view of the harbour.

Lindos

Its timeless appeal is founded upon an eclectic mix of natural and manmade beauty, with white houses that gracefully spill down the hillside towards a turquoise bay, overseen by a monumental acropolis.
