We have 2 different location where we do the tour, depending on our farmer's availability. Please find here the second description: First we visit an agroecological, family run venture. It is a smaller operation (3 hectares total, of which the fruit tree meadow is 1 hectare). The owner works with his own family's ancestral seeds and therefore also conserves the biodiversity of older, less mass exploited species. In this farm you will see peaches, mancaquis, apples, caquis, avocados, as well as yearly crops like various kinds of tomatoes, traditional species of corn, fava beans, onions, 5 kinds of endemic potatoes, strawberries, and a fence of tunares all around the farm, which aside from providing fruit, also act as a fireguard. This is also an educational farm. They run their business from farm to table. We will also learn about the cultivation processes and techniques, soil management and harvest collection. We will learn about the Chilean way of farming.
