What you can expect

  • SnowCat Patagonia invites you to the white adventure you've always dreamed of, crossing snow-covered mountains in a specialised vehicle that glides easily over the icy blanket.

    What is Snowcat?
It's a unique excursion in 4×4 vehicles adapted with snow tracks, which will take you to the highest and most inaccessible corners of Cerro Perito Moreno.
The journey begins in Bariloche and heads towards the heart of the mountain range, where the snow-covered lenga forests create a fairytale setting. On board the SnowCat, you will have access to remote and preserved places, where the silence of the mountains and the pure air renew your energy right from the start of the expedition.

Along the way, we will pass by the charming Villa La Angostura and continue to the historic Paso Samoré, on the border with Chile. It's a unique opportunity to go on a white hiking tour on the border between the two countries, surrounded by majestic peaks and ice-laden trees. The tour guarantees snow all season due to the region's high altitude, making it the perfect environment to create unforgettable memories, whether sledding, building snowmen, or just gazing at the white expanse with a hot drink in hand.

The experience is ideal for all ages, combining the comfort of safe transport with the thrill of Andean exploration in a contemplative and fun way. Each strategic stop is an invitation to take amazing photos, capturing the peace and beauty of Nahuel Huapi National Park from angles that few travellers can access. With certified guides accompanying every step of the activity, you enjoy all the necessary logistics and security so that your only concern is to fully enjoy the magic of snow in Patagonia.
