Overview

Our guided tour of the award winning Vallarta Botanical Gardens begins with a scenic 45 min bus ride from Puerto Vallarta. Our guide will lead us through multitude of different gardens and hothouses giving detailed explanations of what we encounter. We will spend between 1 to 2 hours exploring before be take an hour break so you may dine at the award winning restaurant with scrumptious food and amazing views over the stunning river canyon.

After lunch we will take a short 15 minute walk down to the beautiful Horkenos River to relax and swim for approx. 2 hours. After we will have a final opportunity to visit the gift shop/nursery and visit a few areas of the garden while we make our way back to the car park for our bus ride home.

Back in PV our bonus tasting experience will afford us the opportunity to taste not only raicilla, mezcal, but also 4 types of tequila: silver, reposado, anejo, and extra anejo including flavoured dessert tequilas such as coffee, and pasionfruit.

Conchas Chinas (Pass by)
We will drive through along the beautiful holiday homes, oceanside villas and spectacular beaches.
Los Arcos de Mismaloya (Pass by)
We view the Massive pink granite islands and the wave carved arches through them as we pass by along the stunning coast commonly know as "South Shore" of the Banderas Bay.
Mismaloya (Pass by)
We will catch a introductory look at the old fishing village of Mismaloya as we pass by. See the famous hotel painted pink and the setting in the hit TV show Acapulco.
Boca de Tomatlan (Pass by)
Catch an introductional look at Boca de Tomatlan as we pass by. Notice all the yachts and boats in the protected cove of the bay where the river canyon meets the bay.

After a beautiful almost hour drive along the south coast of the bay and through the spectacular river canon surrounded by a jungle canap arrive to the Botanivcal Gardens. Spend the first hour with a garden docent exploring the most significant and popular garden plantings at the world renowned and one of top five best Botanical gardens in North America. Then with our adventure guide continue the tour with a hike of the outer and more wild trails of the Botanical Garden. Take an hour break for lunch and to visit the displays of the visitor centre. Then spend the next few hours hiking and visiting the river in the canyon below. Relax on a huge boulder or swim in the refreshing pools of the river.
