Bruges Full-Day Trip

by PARISCityVISION Duration 14h Free cancellation available No booking or credit card fees
per adult Price is C$253

Cross the border into Belgium to explore the picture-perfect Gothic city of Bruges. The unique cobblestone streets and beautiful canals have given it the nickname “Venice of the North.” It's a fascinating blend of mediaeval architecture and modern European culture.

Leaving Paris behind for the day, head through northern France and cross the border into Belgium. First enjoy a guided walk through the historic centre, passing highlights including the Gothic City Hall, the ornate Renaissance architecture of the Place du Bourg and the 12th-century Basilica of the Holy Blood.

Once you've got your bearings in the city, enjoy plenty of free time for lunch. This could be a good opportunity to sample the local speciality, moules-frites (mussels and French fries), or sample the extensive selection of Belgian beers.

In the afternoon, take the opportunity to peruse the boutiques that make up the medieval city centre. For sweet-toothed visitors, it's hard to resist sampling the world-famous Belgian chocolate before boarding your comfortable coach back to Paris.

The start was a bit early, but it was 100% worth it! The tour was in both Spanish and English. I booked the English tour, but I am pretty good with conversational Spanish. I was quite impressed with how the guide was able to balance both languages so well and give basically the same info, down to the idiom. The trip was long but comfortable; the bus was a good temperature. The only downside of the bus ride was that the WiFi was very inconsistent. The city of Bruges itself was just as beautiful as the brochures indicated. The tour, boat tour, and time puttering about the city was just picture perfect!
