Activity itinerary

Cala Corsara
  • 1h 30m
  • Admission ticket included
The beautiful Cala Corsara is made up of four beaches. It is one of the busiest given the presence of the pier that allows landings. In the central beach there is a hollow rock similar to a cave called the Tafone di Spargi, famous because finds have been made inside it which date back to the Neolithic period and which are currently on display at the Sanna museum in Sassari. In prehistoric times the site represented an important crossing point for those men who wanted to reach Corsica on foot from Sardinia: a route that was viable at the time since the two islands were connected by a mountain chain while the sea level was lower by as much as 20 metres above the current level.
Spiaggia Rosa (Pass by)
In addition to no longer being private, the island of Budelli is also uninhabited, the Pink beach has now been closed to the public for about 30 years due to tourists who have completely disfigured it by taking away a bit of pink sand with each visit souvenirs; for this reason walking on the beach, swimming and even anchoring are prohibited. The typical pink colour comes from the shell of some microorganisms that live among the Posidonia plants, which when they die are brought ashore by sea storms and settle on the beach giving the sand its typical pink colour.
Isola di Santa Maria (Pass by)
The island of Santa Maria with the main beach called Cala Santa Maria is the only one of the smaller islands to have houses. These are buildings built in the 1960s and which predate the master plan which prohibits construction on all the smaller islands. The island is not urbanised and for this reason the houses are mainly used in the summer period. Santa Maria was also the first island in the archipelago to have a fixed human presence and the remains of a Benedictine monastery dating back to 1400 are still present here.
Cala Garibaldi
  • 1h
  • Admission ticket included
Large cove on the west side of Caprera, it takes its name from the famous hero whose house is located on the small promontory behind it. Behind the beach lies a pine forest with dense vegetation where the structures of a Club Mediterranèe holiday village opened in 1954 and closed in 2014 still stand. The area, owned by the Sardinia region, is the subject of non-redevelopment projects yet approved.
Spiaggia di Cala Coticcio
  • 50m
  • Admission ticket included
Cala Coticcio, also known as Tahiti, has two small beaches inside, it is very popular and very busy also because it is the closest to the Costa Smeralda. It is easily accessible by boat while it is more difficult to reach on foot following the path located on the promontory behind the two beaches. It is an impervious route, access to which is permitted to only two groups of 12 people upon reservation and accompanied by a guide. Some of the characteristics of this beautiful cove are the quantity of fish swimming there, the pink of the rocks which becomes even brighter at sunset as well as its wonderful transparencies.
