What you can expect

Feeling adventurous… Dare to go off the beaten track into a different zone in the heart of El Yunque Rainforest. Get to explore areas of the forest less known to locals and tourists alike.

Experience the challenge of this trail, beginning with an estimate 25 minute journey on a river wading and rock scaling path to the river. Here you will see various rivers and waterfalls, bamboo trees, rain-forest flowers, and many other beautiful plants. We will make a stop to visit a collecting pool that forms at the base of a small waterfall where you will have the opportunity to cool off and bathe in it. After a few minutes of hiking (more strenuous) you will reach our last destination, a natural river where you can take a swim, swing from a rope, and enjoy the natural water slides that concludes at the collecting pool.

Be prepared to walk thru rocky, uneven and muddy surfaces and climb over rocks/boulders and into the water. Allow the natural beauty of El Yunque Rainforest captivate you with its amazing flora and fauna, breathtaking scenic views and gorgeous waterfalls, natural pools and rivers!

At the end of this tour we make a stop to have a Puerto Rican lunch (food cost not included) before returning to San Juan.
