Your journey begins with pickup from your hotel (or the closest possible meeting point) in the Chania/Rethymno region. Sit back and enjoy a comfortable drive towards Chora Sfakion, where you’ll board the ferry to the secluded, postcard-perfect village of Loutro.

As the boat sails along the dramatic southern coastline, take in breathtaking views of steep cliffs, hidden coves, sea caves, and the deep blue Libyan Sea. The peaceful atmosphere makes the ferry ride feel like a relaxing mini-cruise.

Arriving in Loutro feels like discovering a secret gem. Whitewashed houses, vibrant bougainvillea, and calm turquoise waters welcome you to one of Crete’s most charming villages—completely car-free and accessible only by sea.

You’ll have plenty of free time to:

• Swim in crystal-clear, shallow waters
• Relax on the quiet pebble beach
• Stroll through narrow alleys filled with traditional houses
• Enjoy fresh seafood and local Cretan dishes at a waterfront taverna

The village’s slow pace and serene atmosphere make it the perfect escape from the crowds and a highlight of any trip to Crete.

In the afternoon, board the ferry back to Chora Sfakion, where your bus will be waiting to return you comfortably to your hotel—bringing with you unforgettable memories of this peaceful coastal paradise.
