What you can expect

Get to know the grand spectacle and traditional life of the Southwest with a visit to one of its greatest natural wonders. This tour takes you to the incredible scenery of the Grand Canyon's East and South Rim, along with a historic Navajo trading post filled with native crafts.

Begin with a drive along Highway 89A through Oak Creek Canyon, dubbed one of the most beautiful roads in America. Pass through Flagstaff and wind through fascinating lava flows at the base of Sunset Crater, Arizona's youngest volcano, before you visit ancient Native American ruins at Wupatki National Monument and get a glimpse into the culture of the area's earliest residents.

The colourful cliffs of the Painted Desert frame the setting as you enter the lands of the Navajo Nation. Stop for lunch at the Cameron Trading Post, which dates back to 1916 and offers a wide variety of souvenirs along with arts and crafts from numerous Native American tribes across the Southwest.

Next, move on for a look at the magnificent sight of the Grand Canyon. Stop for photos at breathtaking overlooks along the East and South Rim as your guide shares plenty of information about the canyon and surrounding environs. Stop at Grand Canyon Village, an Old West-themed site with historic lodges and museums, and get a glimpse of the Bright Angel Trail before you leave for the ride back to Sedona.
