During your time on Kauai, enjoy a three-hour guided kayak and snorkel tour along the picturesque Hanalei River and in Hanalei Bay, which is home to the beautiful Bay Reef Lagoon. Admire the dramatic Makana Peak (Bali Hai) and get up close to tropical reef fish. As you kayak along the river, you’ll be surrounded by lush trees and diverse wildlife. Learn about the flora and fauna of the surrounding area from your naturalist guide, and enjoy a snorkel in the turquoise waters of the lagoon.

  • Please bring the following items: sun protection, light shirt, swimming suit, footwear for the beach (tabis, aqua socks or tennis shoes), towel and change of clothes
  • Please include your choice of lunch: Ham, Turkey, Veggie or Peanut butter jam
  • Guests much be comfortable in the ocean. Smaller waves during certain times of the year.

Activity itinerary

We have time to do it all: from blue water paddling to snorkelling, bird watching, beachcombing, or perhaps exploring a few tide pools, all during a memorable day that combines more or less 4 hours of the intermittent sea and river kayaking with beach and reef time all within the enchantment of Hanalei River, Bay, and Estuary. Approximately 1.5 hours of driving time to and from store. All guest must be comfortable in the ocean.
