Jinshanling Great Wall

  • 2h
  • Admission ticket not included
Jinshanling Great Wall · Sunset Walk After booking this experience, you’ll arrive at Jinshanling, one of the quietest and most scenic sections of the Ming-era Great Wall. With far fewer crowds, you can walk at your own pace, take in wide mountain views, and closely see both restored towers and original wall ruins that reveal the Wall’s true age and character. As late afternoon turns to evening, the landscape slowly fills with warm golden light. The Wall stretches across the ridgelines, creating one of the most memorable sunset scenes near Beijing—perfect for photos or simply pausing to enjoy the silence. The walk can be as relaxed or as active as you like, making this a peaceful and deeply immersive way to experience the Great Wall.

Gubei Water Town

  • 2h
  • Admission ticket not included
After sunset, continue to Gubei Water Town, where the mood shifts from dramatic mountains to glowing lanterns and calm canals. Stone bridges reflect on the water, traditional courtyards light up, and the whole town feels warm, relaxed, and romantic. Beyond strolling the streets, the evening often includes drone light shows, traditional folk performances, and hands-on cultural crafts such as kite-making or fabric dyeing. In winter, you can even unwind in a mountain hot spring, while major festivals bring special seasonal shows and celebrations. You’re free to explore at your own pace—grab a snack, sit by the water, or simply enjoy the slow rhythm of the night. This gentle cultural atmosphere creates a beautiful transition between sunset on the Wall and the quiet mystery of the night ahead.

Simatai Great Wall

  • 2h
  • Admission ticket not included
Simatai Great Wall · A Rare Night Walk on the Great Wall If you choose the optional visit, you’ll head to Simatai, the only section of the Great Wall open for night touring. Soft lights trace the Wall across dark mountain ridges, creating a calm and almost surreal atmosphere completely different from daytime views. Walking here at night isn’t about distance—it’s about feeling. The air is still, the sky feels wider, and the ancient stones seem more alive in the silence. Many travellers say this becomes the most unforgettable moment of their Beijing trip—an intimate, peaceful, and truly rare way to experience the Great Wall.
