Instead of modern fishing rods, you will practice traditional handline fishing (line and hook)—an ancestral technique used by ancient coastal cultures of Peru, dating back to pre-Inca and Inca times. Using only a line, a hook, and skill, you will learn how local fishermen have sustainably harvested the sea for generations. This fishing method offers a more direct and authentic connection with the ocean and is suitable for both beginners and experienced anglers.
