Know before you book

  • Children younger than 5 are not allowed.
  • You must have a reasonable level of fitness an be able to walk in unpaved or uneven terrain.
  • Return transport is available from most centrally located Ushuaia hotels. If your hotel is outside the pick-up area, you will be assigned the closest meeting.
  • From July to September, a minimum of 2 people applies to confirm departures.
  • Please be ready and waiting in your hotel lobby 15 minutes prior to your scheduled pick-up time.
  • Travellers will not receive any refund regardless of cancellation status.
  • In order to process your reservation, the following information is required: Passport details of each traveller, including: - Full name - Nationality - Passport number - Expiry date - Date of birth. Please send your details to grupoportales@tangol.com
  • Warm clothing and waterproof trekking boots are mandatory. Dress in layers (thermal layer or fleece), waterproof jacket and pants, gloves, hat, and neck warmer/buff. The guide may deny participation if proper gear is not worn.

What you can expect

Discover the natural beauty of Tierra del Fuego National Park on this outdoor activity that includes trekking, canoeing and a picnic lunch by the river.

Depart from the hotel by minibus heading to Ushuaia National Park, where we will enjoy beautiful views of the Beagle Channel and we will start the trekking through the coastal path. The 7 kilometres of travel allow us to meet the diverse flora and avifauna of the channel, as well also the traces of ancient settlements yámanas.

Then, we will get to access the Lago Roca where we will get a hot lunch.

After lunch, get ready for a scenic canoe ride led by your guide and suitable for all skill levels. This river brings us closer to our goal: Lapataia Bay in the Beagle Channel, which is home to abundant birdlife such as geese, ducks and plovers and is precisely where the Panamerican Route and National Route No. 3 end.

End your adventure here, amidst the views of the “end of the world” in this pristine bay surrounded by dramatic mountains and lush forests.

Return to Ushuaia by minibus.
