Activity itinerary

Swim from the beach into Avaavaroa Passage, known as Rarotonga's last real-life aquarium. This natural channel through the reef has clear water, living coral and many tropical fish. Green turtles come here to feed and rest, so you are highly likely to see them. Your guide fits your equipment on the beach and checks your snorkelling in calm, shallow water. Then your group swims out over the coral into the channel, where you spend about 1 hour in the water. Your guides are lifeguards, surfers and fishermen with beach experience in Australia and New Zealand. They choose the route for the conditions on the day and stay with the group. There are no boats on this tour. You start and finish on the beach.
