What you can expect

  • Discover the wild side of Sri Lanka with a safari through Udawalawe National Park, set on the border of Sabaragamuwa and Uva Provinces. This 308-square-kilometer reserve, established to safeguard the Udawalawe Reservoir’s watershed, is a haven for wildlife and scenic beauty.

As you journey through grasslands, forests, and wetlands, experienced guides will lead you to prime spots for wildlife viewing. Udawalawe is especially famed for its elephants, one of the largest populations in Sri Lanka, offering close encounters as they roam freely across the park’s varied landscapes.

Your safari offers much more than elephants—keep an eye out for elusive leopards, sambar deer, wild boar, and reptiles like crocodiles. Birdlife is also abundant, with a chance to spot endemic species such as the Sri Lankan junglefowl and spurfowl among others.

With a focus on conservation and unique biodiversity, Udawalawe promises a rich and memorable wildlife experience for any nature enthusiast.
