What you can expect

We depart early in the morning towards the Peninsula Valdés Protected Natural Area (ENTRANCE NOT INCLUDED), declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO IN 1999. After an hour of travel we arrive at the Carlos Ameghino Interpretation Centre, a compendium of the natural wealth of the peninsula. Next, we head to Estancia San Lorenzo, a traditional Patagonian livestock establishment that is home to the largest colony of Magellanic penguins in the world.

Here the lunch service is offered (lunch not included) with an exquisite grilled lamb, and we will have the opportunity to visit the penguin colony located 7 km from the centre of the ranch. From San Lorenzo we moved to the Punta Norte Reserve to observe, depending on the time of year, fur seals, southern elephant seals and eventually orcas. From there we begin the return to Puerto Madryn. During the excursion we have great chances of observing terrestrial wildlife, such as guanacos, choiques, foxes, maras, armadillos and skunks.
