What you can expect

Take a look at some of the richest natural and historic treasures of Turkey with a visit to ancient cities that date back to the Bronze Age. See the Greek and Roman ruins along the Anatolian coast and learn about these important cities to the region's ancient civilisations.

Start your tour with a visit to the ruins of Perge, the former capital of Pamphylia and one of the largest archaeological sites in the region. See the long, colonnaded road and the remains of the Agora, as well as the temple of Artemis and the Roman theatre just outside of town. Learn about St. Paul's visit during his first missionary journey and the city's role in early Christianity.

Next, head to the ancient Greco-Roman city Aspendos, where you can see the imposing, and well-preserved Roman Theatre that has stood for nearly 1,800 years. Have lunch by the river and pay a visit to the nearby Manavgat Falls to see some of the region's idyllic scenery.

Your last stop is at Side, which for centuries was one of the most important trading ports on the Mediterranean. A walk through the ruins lets you see the ancient Temple of Apollo and the Roman public bath, now a museum that holds a collection of relics from the city's ancient times.
