What you can expect

  • Get ready to explore Perugia through the eyes and stories of two visionaries: Luisa Spagnoli and Giovanni Buitoni. An itinerary through palaces, streets and places that have seen the birth of courageous ideas and unforgettable feats: starting from Luisa's birthplace, passing by the first Workshop, we will cross the city telling the storey of a business that also intersects with their love storey. Corso Vannucci will be the setting for telling you why Luisa Spagnoli is better known for her fashion house than as the inventor of the Bacio Perugina. It's not just a simple walk, but a curious and fascinating journey that will take you into the atmosphere of an era and give you a better understanding of the Perugia that made history.

    The stops:

    1. Via Cartolari n°16 - Luisa's birthplace

    2. LAB – Via Alessi

    3. Palazzo dei Priori - Giovanni Buitoni, podestà

    4. Luisa Spagnoli - history of the angora and the fashion house

    5. Piazza della Repubblica shop - how the Bacio was born and the marketing successes of the 1920s/1930s

    6. Terrace of the covered market - Luisa dies and Perugina expands all over the world.
