Tour the famed sites of Vientiane, the capital city of Laos, and see more than 200 Buddhist and Hindu statues at the interesting Buddha Park. Visit ancient temples, appreciate Lao architecture, savour a traditional Lao meal, and take in a beautiful sunset view near the Mekong River.

At Vientiane's oldest surviving monastery, Wat Si Saket, gaze at the many eye-level murals that depict stories of the past lives of Buddha and walk around the cloister that opens into the sky. Next, visit Wat Ho Phra Keo, initially built as a royal chapel, which houses a small museum. Marvel at the stone balustrade of each temple stair that features a fierce dragon.

Stroll through Buddha Park—a collection of curious, ornate Buddhist and Hindu sculptures—and climb atop a pumpkin-like statue with 3 levels that symbolise hell, earth, and heaven to get a bird's-eye view of the park.
