The tour begins at our peaceful stables, nestled on the hilltop above the village of Vlychada. Before we set off, you’ll have a short introduction to your horse and some time to get comfortable in the saddle. Whether you’re a first-timer or an experienced rider, our calm and well-trained horses make this tour suitable for all levels.

We start the ride heading towards the unique volcanic landscape that defines this part of Santorini. The path winds through dramatic canyons and wind-carved rock formations, sculpted by the legendary Minoan eruption over 3,500 years ago. As we guide you through this otherworldly terrain, you’ll witness the way time and nature have shaped the earth—volcanic ash, once scattered by the eruption, now forms the very ground beneath your horse’s hooves.

The colours of the landscape shift with the light—black, grey, and red tones of volcanic rock stand in striking contrast with the deep blue sky. As we make our way towards the coast, the scene opens up to reveal the famous Eros Beach—Santorini’s hidden gem. Known for its dramatic black volcanic sand and tranquil atmosphere, this secluded beach feels worlds away from the island’s more crowded tourist spots. Here, we ride gently along the shoreline, with the sound of the Aegean Sea lapping against black lava stones under your horse’s hooves.

Depending on the season and sea conditions, there may even be a chance to step into the shallow waters with your horse—a moment many guests describe as magical. The white volcanic cliffs of Vlychada rise beside us, shaped like waves frozen in time, offering a striking backdrop for photos and quiet reflection.
