Saint Bavo's Cathedral, the oldest parish church in the lively heart of Ghent, is built on the site of a 10th century church and a Romanesque church.
Geeraard de Duivelsteen (The Castle of Gerald the Devil) (Pass by)
The stone building is named after the builder knight Gheeraert Vilain, nicknamed the Devil. It was sold to the city of Ghent around 1328

The Gravensteen in Ghent is the only remaining medieval castle in Flanders with an almost intact defence system, a special attraction.
