The mist is softly parted by gentle hill-country breezes, revealing colourful buildings amid Kandy's strange woodland halo. Three-wheelers careen around slick bends in the town centre, creating a soft mist that threatens the silk saris worn by local ladies. Even when it's pouring, this city looks great.
