Description

Discover magnificently coloured coral reefs, dazzling marine life, and a coral-covered shipwreck on your comprehensive snorkelling adventure.

Begin the day by snorkelling above a picturesque sunken tugboat in placid, protected waters. The wreck sits upright in 20 feet (6 m) of water with the wheelhouse only 5 feet (1.5 m) beneath the surface. After three decades beneath the waves, the skeletal hull is encrusted with coral and is home to Christmas tree worms, which look like trees with radiant neon branches.

Accustomed to the frequent human visitors, the area teems with tropical fish that are used to being fed and are amenable to being photographed. Swim around to your heart’s content, or just lie still and relax in the warm, gentle waves.

Afterwards, your guide drives you to a beautiful nearby bay with calm water and great snorkelling opportunities. A shallow terrace runs between 15 and 25 feet (4.5-7.5 m) deep with healthy coral, diverse fish and even some well-camouflaged seahorses. Dry off before your final stop at Fort Beekenburg to enjoy a nature walk featuring breathtaking views of Barbara Beach.

We had a wonderful time on this excursion! Bernice was one of the best guides we've ever had! A great combination of humor and knowledge. I would highly recommend booking with Curacao Actief. The responded to all email very promptly.

Perfect! The guide arrived 10 minuets before, I know it’s rare at Caribbean countries. He has many different type of knowledge. The sea was also great but wave was so strong and water was little bit cold me for me, so you should bring Rash Guard.

The swim was great. My guide, Kurt was fantastic. On the swim he dove deep to get photos of the reef & the sunken tug. On the trip to tug boat beach he stopped at a couple of sites of interest & provided a lot of historical information on Curacao. A great experience- Highly recommended
