What you can expect

Get away from the hustle and bustle of the city and come to the quaint old fishing village of Cowichan Bay. Browse our art gallery, grab a coffee or enjoy some freshly made baked goods at the bay's infamous bakery before boarding one of our small, personal whale watching vessels and heading out into the Salish Sea for some spectacular scenery and wildlife. Once your experience with us is finished, enjoy the rest of what the Cowichan Valley has to offer. Spectacular restaurants, hikes and wineries to name a few.

We have the highest killer whale sightings in British Columbia! Ocean EcoVentures is the most centrally located Whale Watching Company on Vancouver Island with the highest sighting of Orcas and Humpback Whales every year. Small Personal Tour groups, never more than 12 passengers on our boats with certified captains who are at the top of their fields in photography, whale research and conservation ensure that our guests have the absolute best experience the island has to offer.

Our mantra is “People protect what they love and love what they understand” so we are here to help bridge that gap and give people a greater understanding and appreciation for this amazing coast. We also donate a portion of every fare directly into whale and wildlife conservation efforts and support local researchers to help their conservation and research efforts.
