This is the best hotel in Fort Saskatchewan, as you see by its Expedia ratings. Little things; like glass glasses, not plastic disposables. The shampoo is in the shower where you need it, not on display on the bathroom counter. Staff is always good. This hotel was lovingly built by a gentleman who thoughtfully put framed historic photos of Fort Saskatchewan in the hallways and all the rooms. The Kanata chain took over just as oil prices dropped around 2015, but it has held up well despite what must be tight maintenance budgets. I recommend it.

We stayed at the Kanata for a conference we were attending nearby the hotel. The hotel was clean and the beds were cozy. We enjoyed the free continental breakfast although the coffee could have been waaaaay better, but hey... Tim Horton's was not far away!

We stayed at this hotel for one night on NYE. We found it had a jacuzzi suite so we thought we would treat ourselves. We had never stayed here before and found it to be so delightful. Check in was a breeze, the front desk was very attentive and friendly. There was not a huge amount of guests so they were less busy that night. Finding the room was easy and we noticed the layout to be nice and the touches were rustic. We noted the hot tub was out of order but the workout room was well equipped. Elevator was quick. Suite was amazing! Having the bedroom separate from the seating area was very nice. The jacuzzi is in the bedroom and has a good pressure for the jets. Water temperature was great and it filled up quickly. There were nice touches in the room for amenities such a body wash, shampoo and conditioner plus some nice touches for the jacuzzi. Having a steam shower was also very nice. I had never stayed in a room with one before so it was a unique experience. The room had more than adequate linens and towels. The bed was comfortable but tended to squeak quite a bit. Having the window with the ability to open it was also quite nice. We slept comfortably. Breakfast was adequate however the food trays did not keep the food hot enough. Could not try pancakes as the machine was not filled. The rest of the food was very nice and seemed to have some personal touches rather than the mass produced items of other large hotel chains. Definitely will return!
