The Land Yacht is a unique 6,000 sq.', 5 stateroom, double-octagon structure located on 700' of Atlantic ocean shoreline.

Abundant social and private spaces make The Land Yacht the ideal choice for friends and family getaways, retreats and special occasions.
Just a 20 minute drive to Halifax.

Here are a few highlights:

Hardwood floors throughout, open saloon/dining area with soaring tongue and groove ceilings and a two-story stone fireplace. The living area is open to the gourmet kitchen with African granite counters, unique dining island with a Lazy Susan, Jenn-Air cooktop, double built-in wall ovens, wine fridge, margarita maker, bread maker, food service heat lamps, outdoor lobster pot, BBQ, and everything else you'll need to wow your crew.

At the bow of the Land Yacht, you'll find the wrap-around solarium. It's the perfect place to paint, socialize, read, spot marine life, our resident Woodchucks, birds, planets and stars. (Binoculars, telescope and easel are located here.)

Where the huge solarium ends, the Promenade deck begins: Here you will find a luxurious outdoor seating area. (Due to its orientation, it's perfect for both sunrises and sunsets.)

Moving aft through the Land Yacht, you'll arrive in the Hall of History. Here you will find historical photos from 100 years ago, in the age when the Land Yacht was the location of a prosperous sawmill and port, shipping wood products all around the world.

Moving further aft, you will arrive at the spectacular private indoor saltwater pool. It's heated to 31C/87F year-round, making "Heath's Cove" very popular for those winter escapes from the city.

Note: In conjunction with East Coast SCUBA, we offer the Learn to SCUBA program in the pool, year-round. (Ages 10 and up.) It's a great way to discover a whole new world beneath the waves. After the in-pool training, you'll have the opportunity to dive from our cove! (Weather permitting, of course.)

Moving forward towards midship on the main deck, you'll find the Captain's and First Mate's staterooms. Both staterooms feature ensuites, King size beds and offer spectacular views of the ocean. (The Captain's stateroom has direct access to the Promenade deck.)

A powder room is located on the main deck, as well as a full bath located in the pool room.

On the walk-out lower deck level there are three staterooms:

- The Porthole stateroom has a King bed, limited views and is perfect for late sleepers.
- The Officer's stateroom has breathtaking panoramic views of the ocean and is equipped with two Queen beds.
- The Stowaway's stateroom is a family suite that sleeps four to six. (Two convertible Kings plus a kids loft that sleeps two.) This stateroom also has a patio with teak chairs to enjoy your morning coffee, or catch some rays on the chaise lounges.

Note: Guests staying in the Stowaway's stateroom must pass through the Officer's stateroom.

Note: Although our listing states a maximum of 14 guests, the kids loft sleeps two, and is not included in the total. The loft is perfect for ages 10 and under, so if you have 16 crew members in your group, let us know and we'll accommodate.

A coffee service is located between these two rooms. (Keurig + mini fridge.)

These three staterooms share a huge bathroom.

Moving outdoors, you'll find two fire pits to choose from. (One is located at sea level, the other at about 30' above sea level.) Campfire chairs and wood provided.

Three 2-person kayaks are for your exclusive use.
Note: Launching/beaching in our cove is sporty! (Bring water shoes and monitor the tides.)
Waiver must be signed prior to use.

Outdoor games include bocce ball, ladder toss and badminton.

Last but not least, you will find a hammock for solitude nestled in the trees a few feet from the Atlantic ocean.
