The property is currently under renovation. The space is chaotic. I could look past this, but for the fact that I was not made aware that the accessible room that I specifically selected over a month prior with roll in shower was not an available because the entire floor was being renovated. I was switched to a regular room and only found out upon entering the room. I was 8 hours from home without the ability to take care of the most basic needs. At first they merely offered an apology and refund, which did not address my MAJOR vulnerability. I asked them to find me another room that was accessible elsewhere. In theory they did do this. They booked me at a hotel owned by the same owner, in an “accessible room”. There the bed was too high, the roll-in shower was up a 2” step, and the sink was not accessible at all (obstructed by the toilet and not wheel under). You should not list these rooms as wheelchair accessible. It is negligent. The front desk staff did their best, but this was a traumatizing experience. I got zero dollars value for the money spent. I’d give this experience a zero if I could. I will never book with these two properties in Kamloops again.
