After booking a room, the hotel would not honor our booking for the room bed combination that was paid for. When we asked to be moved we were told that they were full and our only option was to pay more or stay in. The room they had, or maybe later in our stay they could find another room, but there was no guarantee. Staff was vey dishonest and not helpful at all

Villa Del Palmar is an older property but the rooms and resort are well kept and clean. Breakfast buffet was very good including the service. Beach has a nice view and good swimming. Roberto set up our lounge chairs and beach umbrella each morning. You can expect the local beach vendors to come around regularly selling their merchandise but the are friendly and not too pushy. Rooms are spacious. Each evening we took a taxi to go out and experience the many amazing restaurants in PV. The age profile at the hotel is on the older side however there were some families too which was nice. Overall good experience.

Did not like the room selection process. Timeshare “members” receive priority room choices and others get poor, noisy rooms. I was offered a room in an old, noisy section of the hotel and refused. Next I was offered a street view. I requested a pool view but was initially refused as I was not a “member”. I insisted and was finally given a partial pool view also overlooking the roof of the kitchen with very noisy roof vents. Could not sit out in the evening.
