The Anaheim Astoria Inn was a great value and very conveniently located near Disneyland. The rooms were clean and had everything we needed. Would definitely stay there again.

Disappointed

I asked for late check out and confirmed it the night before my check out. Then the manager showed up at my door about 40 minutes before the checkout time, when I was in the middle of getting dressed. This felt very stressful and invasive. He wanted to confirm that I was doing the late check out at 11:45 AM. This would have been better as a phone call, but again, I confirmed this with him the night before. It took me a while to get situated in my car, so I noticed that my room didn’t even get tended to for about a half hour after I vacated it. I was also concerned that there was no peep hole on the door so I had to look out the window to see who was at the door. Additionally, there was no safety bar or a safety chain on the door. this was very disconcerting. I also felt that this business was stingy because people had pay a quarter if they wanted ice. This is always a free service at hotels and motels! I have never seen a pay machine for ice before! This was extremely disappointing. The bed was so rock hard and uncomfortable that it started triggering all the scar tissue in my back from cancer treatment. On the positives, it was relatively quiet and clean.

Great staff very friendly. We decided to stay an extra night. Some outlets do not work. We had to pay for parking once we got there. The extra private room was a big plus for us. Since we are a family of 5. We plan to stay here in the future. I lost the hotel key during our visit at disneyland and the guy at the front office made sure it was me before giving me another key without hesitation.
