Secluded Little Red Cabin by the Brook- Grill & 2 Fire Pits

Welcome to the ultimate off-grid GLAMPING experience! This historical little red cabin was once a school house in the early 1900s, how cool is that? The interior decor highlights the old school and was meticulously curated to provide you with comfortable amenities while staying true to the camping experience. This is an off-grid cabin with NO running water (we have a camplux). There is cooling with a new 10,000 BTU LG AC, fireplace for a chilly night, and a heated outhouse. We are located only 28 min. from Lake George, 20 min. from Gore Mountain, and other exciting activities.

We provide everything you need for a comfortable stay at an off-grid cabin.
This 420 sq ft. cabin sleeps up to 4 people comfortably, maybe 5. The driveway can fit up to 4 cars.

The secluded cabin has a beautiful brook running through the property all year-round. This is where you will get your water source from. Perfect to sit on the deck sipping your coffee or glass of wine while hearing the sound of the water and trees. There is a brand new blackstone griddle/ grill so you can cook your breakfast, lunch or dinner right outside on the deck as well. The location is breathtaking and great to disconnect from the outside world. To add on to your romantic experience, at night you can walk over the little mini bridge over to the fire pit surrounded by the ambient lighting and just unwind.

The open space is surrounded by natural wood and natural lighting. It features a fully stocked small kitchenette (electric cooktop, griddle, toaster oven, coffee maker), dining table for 4, living room area with a gas fireplace, TV, full size sleeper sofa, and loft area with queen memory foam bed. There is a wooden floating platform in the corner if you want to add an extra twin size air mattress for the 5th person. We do provide WIFI and FREE Netflix for your convenience.

Is there AC or heat? We just installed a brand new 10,000 BTU LG AC unit for your convenience. We have also have a gas burning fireplace for keeping you warm on those chilly nights. But please note that is does get very cold in the winter, so bring an extra pair of PJs, thermals and long johns for added warmth :)

Is there hot water? We do provide a Camplux tankless water heater that connects to a propane tank for hot showers. You may also just use our lowes bucket to get water from the brook and use to cool off and shower.l in the pop up tent. Remember to only use eco-friendly body wash, etc. The other hose goes into the Brook.

Is there a bathroom? We aren't savages! There is a heated outhouse with a compost toilet with sawdust in a bucket to reduce odor. You can use the outdoor shower to clean your hands or the hand sanitizer mounted inside.

**INCINERATING TOILET COMING IN 3 WEEKS FROM 8.29.23**

Is there electricity? Yes! We do provide 100amp electricity. Don't worry you will have lots of light, charge your phone, watch tv or even cook inside.

Dogs are allowed during your stay for an additional $50 fee per dog (2 dogs maximum with approval). They MUST BE TRAINED and house broken. We ask that dogs do NOT get on the beds or couch out of respect for other people's allergies.

**OTHER DETAILS TO NOTE**
**MUST READ AND AGREE BEFORE BOOKING**

-There is a rough dirt road that leads you to the cabin. During times of rain or snow this road can be VERY muddy. We recommend AWD vehicles, though most trucks or SUV’s should make it just fine. Some cars could handle it, but there’s a possibility of getting stuck in the event of snow or rain. Please take this into consideration while planning your trip!

- There is NO running water. We only provide the CAMPLUX portable water heater. You may put the blue filter hose into the brook or bucket with water for a hot outdoor shower or to wash dishes. You may also get fresh water from the brook with a bucket that is provided. We also only provide 5 gallons of purified drinking water (only 4-5 get delivered monthly). BRING EXTRA jugs and bottled water just in case.

- WE ARE IN THE ADIRONDACKS SURROUNDED BY NATURE so there will be wildlife, bugs, and webs every now and then. Our cleaner will do their best to keep the bugs out and spray as much as they can. Bring extra bug spray.

- The cabin is located 25 minutes from the nearest convenience store and gas station (everything is on main street). So make sure to get what you need before arriving.

- Our bathroom is a HEATED OUTHOUSE with a compost toilet and pine shavings. You may use the lantern for night trips to the bathroom.
**YOU MUST DISPOSE YOUR OWN WASTE. CLEANERS WILL NOT TAKE IT AS IT IS UNSANITARY** INCINERATING TOILET COMING IN 3 WEEKS.**

- There is a propane gas fireplace for heat). It has a thermometer to control the heat. We also provide space heaters for extra warmth and a ceiling fan/ AC during the summer to keep cool.

- Electricity is only 100amp. So don't plug in TOO many things at once. You may turn on the breaker upon arrival and turn it off on departure.

- We provide WIFI at 300mbps and FREE NETFLIX.

***It's very important for us to be upfront about all of this, as we do not want to be dinged in our reviews for things out of our control. So please be mindful that this is and was always meant to be an outdoor experience. If you DO NOT like the outdoors, this isn't the place for you.***

We really wanted to love this cabin, and Kimberly was great at communicating and answering all our questions. However, the lack of a shower and running water was a major downside. If these amenities were available, this would be a perfect little cabin. Nonetheless, we enjoyed our stay in this nice location.

Rustic and remote with modern amenities
We had a great stay at little the red cabin. Literally 2 cars drove by the entire weekend. If you want a place to go and be alone without any distractions this is definitely the place! The brook outback that runs just beyond the deck makes this such an amazingly beautiful place. Check in was a breeze. The outdoor shower was definitely a cool experience once we got it set up. I would definitely stay again.

Little red cabin!
Absolutely ADORED my long weekend at the little red cabin. Located on a dirt road with a few neighboring houses in the woods, this is the best get away I’ve ever had. Host was very accommodating to my pets (deposit was required which is fully understandable). Self check in with a smart lock, when entering the cabin the vibe is spot on. Twinkly lights for setting the mood, beautifully decorated with just the right amount of amenities needed for a get away in this decade. Host offers Wi-Fi, as well as a smart tv. The outside of the cabin is so peaceful with the Brook flowing through the property, 2 fire pits, twinkly lights wrapped around the area for the pits. She was communicative with me for any issue I had, checking in and out was a breeze. The neighbors were friendly during my stay. There’s many trails nearby (I only took advantage of one). I will definitely be returning! I could not recommend this place more.

Go here to get away and be happy
Stay here and fall in love with this cabin. Climb crane mountain, ski Gore or Hickory, fish Garnet lake, hike to remote ponds. Enjoy each night back at the cabin. My stay here was fantastic. I hope to stay here again.
