"What a fantastic place to visit! We have done many stays across the island from Parksville to Sooke, and this place in Comox has probably been the best. The views from any room in the house are fantastic looking out over the bay. The beach is fairly private, with nice sandy sections to easily get in the ocean for a swim at low or high tide, but also there is an oyster bed and rocky sections that draw in the seals, otters, heron’s, eagles, whales, crabs, hermit crabs for lots of wildlife viewing. The house itself is well appointed - full stocked kitchen, nice yard, quiet neighbourhood. We were initially somewhat concerned about being at the end of the runway however the airport isn’t that busy, occasional flight take offs but inside the house barely noticeable, and most planes are relatively smaller, so not something that affected the stay - rather we enjoyed watching the planes come in, especially when the military was practicing touch and go’s. The house is well appointed. Beds are comfortable, home is clean and cozy, kitchen is well stocked with dishes/pots/spices, but also enough open cupboards and drawers that there was room to store the goods we brought with us. I don’t think there was any gadget that we were missing in meal preparation which made cooking our meals easy.The hosts were fantastic, responsive to questions, friendly to talk to but also respectful of privacy. I would have been fine to have them over for happy hour to chat as they are interesting people!"
