"Helen's house was just perfect. The views from the balconies are amazing. The kitchen was so well equipped with absolutely everything you could need to cook, lots of utensils, plates and mugs etc, really spacious. Yes there are tons of stairs and the layout is not "standard" but you do get used to it! Within a few mins walk you're in fowey where there are just enough pubs, restaurants, to keep you fed. The rest or Cornwall is also easily accessible by car within max 2 hours you can visit all the main places. The responsiveness of the caretaker was great too, we accidentally smashed a wine glass and she was kind to acknowledge and not ask for any money to replace. It really is a great location and again the views from the balconies are so amazing. We were recommended to stay here by friends and would recommend this place to everyone!"

"Staff were excellent and friendly. Great views and good location. The only downside is the limited parking. We were parked on sire for 1 night and then had to move 2 streets away for the next 2 nignts. But there is nothing that can be done as the Hotel is limited on space. If you know that fine and it shouldn't detract from you stay (or arrive by train to Par.) We enjoyed it and thanks to the staff."

"Amazing place for family with younger children. Our children - 8,6& 2 loved their stay here. We swam every day, attempted crabbing, played in the playground and attended all of the activities put on by the den staff. Kids loved mocktail & jewellery making and they put on a great Easter egg hunt for the kids too. They also attended the den sessions and were happy each time. The rabbit feeding was also really lovely. Only complaint really is the restaurant. Breakfast is good but dinner/lunch has the same menu and if you’re staying for 3 nights it’s quite limited and honestly not the best. The fish and chips were good but the gnocchi and salads were very blah. We went out for dinner one evening as we couldn’t face the same average food. Maybe change up the menu every other night to encourage ppl to eat there more as everything is in the hotel and the kids just love running around. Also, have some outsiders try the food and give honest opinions… for a luxury hotel you’d expect better food. Other than that, it’s perfect and we would come back in a heartbeat, just probably would avoid eating dinner there unless it changes. "
